Here at Progressive Health Care our patients are our neighbors. They are people in our community who need antibiotic therapy, which can only be given intravenously, but who are not ill enough to require constant hospitalization. They may live in a nursing home or at home. They are the people suffering from cancer who need IV or subcutaneous medication to control pain. They are pregnant women who become dehydrated and need IV fluids. They are elderly patients who cannot eat properly and need additional nutritional support. They are our neighbors who need the support, information and care only a committed local pharmacy can provide.

To make home health care the most successful it can be, all parties involved in caring for the patient must have direct communication for a truly comprehensive system of health care. All of us at Progressive Health Care have enjoyed serving patients and their caregivers for the last fifteen years. Our dedicated professional staff strive to provide the best medical treatments and care specific to each patient. Progressive Health Care pharmacists work hand in hand with other professionals including physicians, and nursing services to create a team approach to provide IV therapies and care while patients are at the hospital, nursing home or at home in their communities.

Progressive Health Care (PHC) was formed to serve patients who live in Bemidji and surrounding areas. A local pharmacy was needed to provide the IV drug therapy, which previously had to be shipped in from miles away.

PHC is owned and operated by pharmacists who live and work in the Bemidji area and are committed to providing the highest quality drug therapy available. We take the time to counsel patients about what to expect from drug therapy and how best to use medications; we are also in continual contact with the physician or nursing service. We follow all patients throughout therapy to achieve the best outcomes possible.
